| TEAM OUT TO DO THEMSELVEES JUSTICE |
| Fri 19th Feb 2010 |
Caithnerss are short-handed as they attewmpt to ward off an unwelcome double at Millbank tomorrow.
Last year, Whitecraigs clinched the Scottish Hydro Electric National Leave Division 2 title on their trip to Thurso.
A win for Greenock Wanderers tomorrow would see this year's stand out side crowned champions.
The Greens will be keen to do themselves justice after being heavily outgunned in the televised encounter in Greenock at the end of October.
Stand-in Greens coach Eann McIntosh has particular problems finalising a back division. With James sinclair and David McCarthy offshore, James Paterson unavailable and Norman Foubister injured, he received further unwanted bad news after learning an ankle injury sustained playing football may rule out fullback Gary Mackay.
The pack should be unchanged from last Saturday apart from the unavailable Edinburgh-based Andrew Sangster.
The coach looks set to bolster the already large teenage contingent in the squad.
McIntosh said: "We really have nothing to lose on Saturday. It would be good to see us scoring a try or two as recently we've been doing all the right thinmgs in building attacks only for the final execution to let us down."
Wanderers made sure of promotion on Sauturday when they swept aside rivals Glasgow Accies 41-7 at Fort Matilda.
The big shock was Cambuslang's 15-10 home win ovr Lasswade.
The result takes the Glasgow side off the foot of the table while dealing a blow to Lasswade's hopes of moving up a division.
Lasswade moved above Accies following their 33-8 midweek win away to Preston Lodge.
Meanwhile, Kris Hamilton won his second Scotland U20 cap last Friday in their 20-10 defeat to Wales at Cardiff Arms Park.
The scrum-half came on as a replacement early in the second half and wentr on to give a typically committed display.
The next match is away to Italy a week tonight.
